Hedgehog
I've just been given both Mathematical Reasoning books (1, Gr. 2-4 and 2, Gr. 4-8). It was an unexpected gift, and I had been just about to buy Building Thinking Skills - I was looking at getting level 2. What's the difference between them? Would it be valuable to have both, or are the exercises too similar? We already have, and use, Mind Benders. TIA!
....
We use the Building Thinking Skills books. They were very pricey, so if you like the Mathematical Reasoning books (which we've never used), I would try those. I'm really on the fence with the BTS books. I use those to give the older kids something to do on their own (besides watch the Mr. Bean cartoon). They do have a lot of geometry/spatial stuff in them, which is great. My son is interested in architecture or engineering, so I thought the BTS books might be a good idea.
