Runningmom80
I want to be very low key this year, but I would like to have at least a couple educational activites a week. Where can I look for ideas and inspiration? (besides here, of course!) Thanks!
NanceXToo
There's that free "Letter of the Week" thing you can google, Enchanted Learning (dot com) has a decent amount on their free section with access to everything for $20 per year, you can google "Kindergarten unit studies" and just utilize your library and craft type things, you can watch educational videos, play board games that reinforce math and language skills... Mallory
We are going to use Kindergarten at Home. http://books.google.com/books?id=50UBAAAAYAAJ&printsec=frontcover&dq=Hillyer's+Kindergarten+at+Home&source=bl&ots=gOJ1S1jqI4&sig=J-kr4SluU3apbrQnkFrtXvYDETA&hl=en&ei=3pe1TeuZM5C2tgfa0PzpDg&sa=X&oi=book_result&ct=result&resnum=1&ved=0CBwQ6AEwAA#v=onepage&q&f=true It doesn't do letters and numbers, but my two are looking forward to sewing with yarn and needles and paper weaving and making shapes from clay (and me actually setting aside time to do that stuff). If you do decide to use it, I've been working on my cheap supply list! Edited August 30, 2011 by Mallory
