Daisy
Can anyone tell me what they think of this? I'm thinking about using Guerber's book (edited by Miller), but would first like to get a few reviews if possible.
hollyhock
I have it and I like it. I read through it last year (I think). At times I had a hard time keeping people straight, especially kings and queens in the various European countries. There are so many names and personalities to keep separate in that time period. But I liked the short chapters, enjoyed the stories about different people and I liked the coverage of some of the Reformers, some of whom I had never really heard of before. I think it's written from a Protestant POV and yet I don't recall anything anti-Catholic either. It was mostly narrative of what happened without opinion, as least as far as I can remember. I plan on using it for logic stage history once we get there. I hope this was helpful.
raceNzanesmom
My oldest loved it. You can read over part (or maybe all) of it online.
