History Odyssey users, can I use the old (white) Kingfisher instead of the red?

I don't see much difference in the two. As long as you make sure the page numbers match up to the topic studied it's not a big deal.

 

Van Loon's Story of Mankind is available free on Project Gutenberg and the HTML version lets you jump to the appropriate chapter. I don't find that it adds much to the lessons, at least not that another similar book would add, but the lessons will reference maps located in the book. For that, we've found better use with a history atlas and a modern day one.
