lulubelle
I have been doing Abeka's Oral Language Exercises. It is good, but I would like something meatier to supplement it with for the next year of 4th grade. Maybe a workbook or some kind of written reinforcement. I am looking at Growing with Grammar. Any other suggestions? Thanks!
Zoo Keeper
Well, I know it's the obvious answer, but if you like Abeka you could do their fourth grade grammar workbook (God's Gift of Language A). My oldest will be doing it this coming year; it can be done easily without the TM, and it is solid in the grammar/mechanics practice. It is also easy for the child to do own his own (or with very short teaching time on your part--just a few minutes of explanation needed...). Another option might be Rod and Staff grammar; it has an oral section to talk through before the written exercises in each lesson.
