Paige
Has anyone used the Jason Project science as a stand alone program? I saw where people asked similar questions when I searched but there were no reviews. I can't find reviews anywhere other than on the Jason site itself. We are working through something else for science right now that will probably take us about 1/3 of the next school year. We started it last year but I had no idea what I was getting myself into! I don't want to pay for or do another full year's curriculum when we finish what we are doing and the Jason stuff looks ideal. It seems fun, short enough that we won't be running into the next year if we start mid-year, and free if we want it to be! My son wants to do the Operation Tectonic Fury first and then we may do more if we have time. He will be going into 4th grade. http://www.jason.org/public/whatis/curr.aspx
2cents
We've done Jason but as a unit study. We have a regular science curriculum. I think it could be a stand alone but I personally would have to add more. We just like to do it as a break in the routine or as a summer science.
