Do I need to upgrade to the 2nd edition of Apologia Physical Science?

I taught Apologia Physical Science in a HS co-op this year and the students had both the old and 2nd editions. The differences are mild. Page numbers are slightly different. There is one experiment in the 2nd ed that is not in the old edition and it was a fun one on liquid earth. The new edition had updated information on Pluto no longer being classified as a planet. The 2nd ed. is more colorful with better pictures. It has the Periodic table on the first spine which helped with the work needed in the book. Also some definitions and test questions have been changed slighly. (This caused some problems for me as a teacher but didn't really change anything for the students.)

As stated the changes are not great. If I was going to buy one I would get the 2nd ed especially if I was going to use it for more than one child. However, if money is tight the first will work fine.
