BrendaC
Hi! DS will be in 5th grade next year. I am wanting to purchase Rod and Staff for him. Would I purchase the 5th grade book? He has done language arts in the past. From what I have read, the 5th grade book is a good place to jump in. Others feel that it is very advanced and you might need to back up a grade. Your thoughts? Thanks in Advance! BrendaC
SilverMoon
An average fifth grader with no grammar exposure could do fine with the fifth grade book. I'd place your ds in the English 5 book. :001_smile:

Mallory
I agree. My boys did FLL3 a couple years ago, and I have decided to use R&S for next year. They will be in 5th and 6th. I first thought I would put them in English 4 and 5, I even bought those. After doing some of the reviews in level 4 with my soon to be 5th grader, I decided instead to put them both in at grade level. So we will be starting in 5 and 6.
