Xuzi
We're hoping to go today! All of the "Interpreteive Centers" are closed for the winter just now, but can you still accesss them if you just want to enjoy the view? I'm thinking specifically of Johnston Ridge Observatory. I know the Visitor's Center there is closed, but can we still park our car and just look around at the volcano?
vonfirmath
I am amazed to hear they close it! But according to this website: http://www.mountsthelens.com/ The highway is closed at mp42 so you cannot get all the way up right now at all. Momling
Wait until it's open. The visitor's center is definitely worth a visit!

My dad won't be here then though. :( He's just here until Thursday, and he was really hoping to get to see it.
