Plant Study for Grades 2, K, and pre-k

Recommended Posts

My dh just got into gardening and we've planted a nice-sized gardening flat in our backyard. That has been the best hands-on thing, plus the kids are totally interested in reading the books, now that they "see" what we are doing. Your kids will love it! Mine both have Mel Bartholomew books open at this very moment (Square Foot gardening, :D) but some of our favorite books have been:

From Seed to Plant

How a Seed Grows

The Reason for a Flower

The Vegetables We Eat

Growing Vegetable Soup

Eating the Alphabet

From the Garden: A Counting Book About Growing Food

We like picture books, so these may be good for your two youngers, although I'm sure your eldest would listen. ;)
