BlueTaelon
I'm looking at their website and I must be missing it, where do I find the placement tests?
kbpaulie
Doubt this is what you wanted to see.... http://www.adoremusbooks.com/explodethecodeplacementtest.aspx :)
lindsrae
I didn't use the placement test, but I had the advantage of looking at the books in a local store. My dd in K is at about lesson 80 OPGTR, and I started her in ETC 3. That level starts with long vowels with the silent e, which was review for her, but it has really helped to reinforce her reading. Where is your dc at? Are you using another phonics program in conjunction with ETC?
RootAnn
I looked at the scope & sequence and the book descriptions. Then, I noted where I thought my kid needed to start for the supplementing I did with her.
BlueTaelon
Doubt this is what you wanted to see....http://www.adoremusbooks.com/explodethecodeplacementtest.aspx :) They make you pay for a placement test? Thats just wrong imo. You'd think they would make it easy to figure out which levels to buy.

Well I have a beginning kinder who's about 1/3 into Headsprout level 1 and a 4th grader who's a veryyyyy slow reader and in need of reviewing phonics. The little one I figured ETC Online would be fine but I'm wondering if it would work for my older who is a struggling reader or if I need Beyond the code for her. Also thinking of just using OPGR but thought ETC online might be more fun for her.
