plmzk
How does this book teach "the beginning" Does it go into creation? If it does, is it the literal 7 day creation or the 7 "ages" of creation. Can anyone tell me? TIA Kate
staceyobu
It doesn't address creation. It starts with "the earliest people" who were nomads and lived about 7000 years ago. Then it goes into how the nomads became farmers.
plmzk
So is STOW considered "secular"? Does it weave in any religion?
Annabel Lee
It is secular in that it doesn't teach any particular religion as THE ONE, kwim? It also doesn't teach from the POV of any one religion. It does teach about what many, many cultures & civilizations believed, but more in a read-and-find-out way, not in an analyzing or comparative way.
