Some would say it has a lot of Singapore math elements, (fewer topics, more depth , challenging problems) others say it's very confusing for the teachers and the students . Would like to hear more ... Never heard of it, but from the info on the website (http://www.hmhelearning.com/Math/Go_Math_FL/index.html) these things quickly occurred to me. Red flag #1: Designed by a panel of "experts". (Just speculating, but they're likely doctors of education, not mathematics.) Red flag #2: Designed to meet state standards which have all been stripped and twisted to conform with NCLB and soon with the CCSS. Red flag #3: Incorporates the federal CCSS (Common Core State Standards) which in many cases are less rigorous than current state's standards. blessedmom3 Posted March 31, 2011 Author Share Posted March 31, 2011 Thanks for that link ! I've seen samples but it's very much teacher directed and it's hard to know how they teach concepts . We still continue with our combo Singapore & CLE but I find it very hard to use both since he has started school. I guess we have to give up CLE .
