Denise Allen
Those of you having experience with Adam Andrew's Teaching the Classics- Do you think it is helpful- or is following Susan's ideas in The Well Trained Mind for Lit/Writing enough? Thanks so much!!

Sunshine State Sue
Ds and I have been using TtC this year to discuss American History related literature. It has been helpful for us, but I find myself asking the same questions out of the back of the book. I have tried to make it through TWEM several times, but usually wind up feeling very intimidated by it. I suspect that it is the better resource, but having never truly attempted it, I can't really say. I know that there are people here that have experience with both. I'm sure someone more knowledgeable will chime in. In the meantime, here is a thread started by Nan in Mass nearly 3 years ago that gives me hope (as in we're not finished with high school yet): TWEM... HTH!
