choirfarm
I was reading in my USAA magazine and they mentioned income based repayments for student loads. It caps your required monthly payment at a percentage of your income. Then after 25 years of income based repayment, the balance is forgiven. Or if you work for a nonprofit, then your student loan is forgiven after 10 years. Here is the website that they gave if you have friends really struggling with student loans http://www.ibrinfo.org/ I still wouldn't take out any loans for my kids anyway, but if they have or you have friends who have this might be an option, especially in today's economy when they might not start in the job they thought they would!
