If you've got the SOTW 4 AG, can you look at the map for Ch 29a, "The End of WWII"--sandwiched between Poland & the Soviet Union is an unlabeled area. Is that the Soviet-controlled side of Poland, or something else? 2. Why DID Hitler decide to attack the Soviet Union instead of continuing w/ his attack on England? Thanks. A main slogan on Hitler's propaganda was that the Germans were a "Volk ohne Raum", i.e. a people without space. The war was supposed to win them space to settle - for instance in the vast expanses of the Soviet union... LOTS of space. (Aside from the fact that he hated communism, and that he considered the Russians an inferior race - but not the British) As far as I remember, Hitler did not attack England, rather Britain declared war on Germany.
