Poke Salad Annie
What can I expect over the next several days, weeks? We brought her home this morning. She looked terrible. She had a shot of cortisone to help for now, but the vet didn't offer antibiotics or other treatment. I realize this is viral, but I think since he said he aspirated pus from her abdominal cavity, she might need the antibiotics. When I got her out of the carrier, she looked so weak and thin. She has a very thick mucous drool coming from her mouth. She ran to hide as quickly as she could, and I cannot presently find her. I put out watery tuna for her, but she's not coming for that right now. :(
gingersmom
:grouphug: My five year old cat died from FIP. She lived a year longer than the doctor had predicted. At the time my cat was sick there was not much to do besides keep her comfortable.
Poke Salad Annie
Thank you. She is starting to perk up enough to eat a tiny bit today. She just looks so sad and weak.
