zusjames Posted January 5, 2011 Share Posted January 5, 2011 A hs friend and her husband are taking their kids (ages 6, 3, 1) to India on a missions trip for 6-weeks and she asked me how to prepare her kids for learning (not book learning, but cultural learning). I, too, am interested in the answer because dh and I hope to live in another country some time in the future with our kids. She was concerned about school the oldest would be missing out on while they are gone but assured her she would learn much greater things in the classroom of the world than a book. For those who have taken this plunge, how would you prep kids and even yourself/spouse for such an adventure? (They will be living near the poorest of the poor.) Many thanks!
