TrixieB Posted December 27, 2010 Share Posted December 27, 2010 I picked up a copy of Maxwell's Elementary Grammar somewhere -- probably at a library sale, but I can't remember. I thought I might use it with my 4th grader (who is currently using McRuffy 4th grade LA and I'm not in love with its grammar component), but some parts seem more suited for older grades. It's hard for me to tell, though. Does anyone know what grade(s) it is intended for? Also, do you think this book can (or should) be covered in one year, or is it a multi-year project? I thought about doing the easier parts of each section the first year, and revisiting the tougher lessons in future years. I'd love feedback from anyone who has seen and/or used this book!
