Brigid in NC
Do any of you have experience with your student taking the statistics AP exam after a one semester community college statistics course? If we go this route, I will definitely get my ds an AP prep book. Thanks for sharing your own experience if you have done this.

I have not done this, but in my researching I came across some advice on college confidential that cautioned on this due to cc courses often being vastly different in scope than the AP exam. AP was considered more thorough. My personal suggestion would be to see how your student does with the guide book(s) before making the decision if at all possible. For us, we decided it was better (more cost effective) just to self study. A cc course would have cost us $660. More colleges [we are considering] will accept a 4 or 5 on the AP than cc credit, making all signs point in that direction for us.
