pooh bear Posted November 28, 2010 Share Posted November 28, 2010 (edited) My ds is 10, and I have been noticing that he has a hard time pronouncing certain sounds, most notably the "oo" sound. School sounds like skull Cool sounds like cul Jewel sounds like jul I would guess that this has been happening for a while, but over the past 6 months it has gotten a lot worse. At first it just seemed to be the odd "oo" sound that was not right, but now it is all the time. Ds has also started to stutter a lot. It can't be stress, because the most stressful thing in his life has been trying to decided what pie to eat on thanksgiving. I know that I will need to take him to the doctors, but does anyone know what this might be and how I can help ds?
