Freezing flour

Dh bought us a 25lb bag of flour for my son's baking adventures last week. Of course I had already bought 10 pounds and we never made it to the big bag. It is in a paper bag and I really need to store it somewhere other than my kitchen floor. I don't have those buckets with lids so I was thinking of opening the bag and storing the flour in plastic freezer bags in the deep freeze instead. If this works, how long should the flour keep?
