Dobela
Dh bought us a 25lb bag of flour for my son's baking adventures last week. Of course I had already bought 10 pounds and we never made it to the big bag. It is in a paper bag and I really need to store it somewhere other than my kitchen floor. I don't have those buckets with lids so I was thinking of opening the bag and storing the flour in plastic freezer bags in the deep freeze instead. If this works, how long should the flour keep? give_me_a_latte
I always freeze my flour. When I bring it home it automatically goes in the freezer for a few days, then I transfer it to the fridge for regular storage. I do a lot of baking so I go through it, but I'd say you should be able to keep it in the freezer for a while. Few months at the very least. skirch
It will be fine. I have always stored my flours in the freezer without problems.
