Song School Latin ?

We're using Song School Latin and enjoying it. On the song CD it sounds like they pronounce the words salve and vale with the v sounding like a w. Is this correct or are my children and I hearing it wrong?

That's correct for classical pronunciation. The Ecclesiastical pronunciation would pronounce the v as v.

Thanks! :) I wanted to be sure before proceeding further. I feel a little silly asking, lol, but wanted to be correct.

The same songs are on the CD twice. Tracks 1-30 are using classical pronunciation. Tracks 31-60 have the same songs with Ecclesiastical pronunciation. We started out listening to track 1 until I figured out that we needed to skip ahead to track 31 for Ecclesiastical.

Yep, we just started this. The 'w' sounds like a 'v' in the classical pronunciation. There is no 'w' in the Latin alphabet. My daughter is so excited to be learning Latin, we love it!
