Guest gwendol
I am thinking of using singapore math for 1st grade. I know the WTM recommends the US edition, but I've found that there is now available the Standard edition, which seems to have everything the US edition has plus more. Does anyone know of any reason that the Standard edition would be a bad choice? (Note: both use US measurements)
Mallory
We just started last year and I picked the us edition simply because it was cheaper ;)
Dana
We use standards & I'm pleased with it.
chiguirre
I'd go with Standard, unless you already own the US edition or can get it used cheap. I use US because I already owned 1A and 1B and got 2A-3B at a good discount at the local hs store.
amys
I prefer the Standards edition. The HIG is better, and there are a few topics that are introduced earlier in Standards than in US. There's a lot of information on the Singapore website; check out their FAQs and the forum.
