MyThreeSons
As a homeschooler, have you applied for and received a fee waiver for the SAT and/or ACT? Any advice? TIA
Kareni
We attempted to get a fee waiver for the SAT; however, we were unsuccessful. My daughter definitely qualified, but the local high school counselor was clueless as to what procedure to undertake. Typically, the school allows fee waivers to students who qualify for free lunch; it was proving that that seemed to cause difficulties. Good luck! eclipse
I thought you could apply for one online, but I just checked and I guess you can't :( Edited August 15, 2010 by eclipse

It seems like a copy of our taxes from last year should be sufficient. Our local public high school was very cooperative when oldes ds took the PSAT there several years ago. I guess I'll give them a call to see what they can do.
Kareni
Providing a copy of your taxes sounds like a good plan, Laura. I wish you success as test fees can certainly add up. Regards, Kareni
