Suzanne in ABQ
My friends are planning on coming to Boston for two weeks this summer. They'd love to find an inexpensive place to rent while they're there. They'd take a rustic cabin, or an apartment. They have a lovely home that they'd be willing to trade for those two weeks (if someone from Boston would like to come to Albuquerque, NM). They're studying the American Revolution, so they're planning on seeing the sights, and doing the museums, possibly going to the beach. They'll have a car. They are homeschoolers. Traveling will be Mom, Dad, 15yodd, 10yods, 6yodd, and 5yods. Any ideas? TIA, Suzanne
Linda in NM
Camping at Harold Parker State Park...there is no place inexpensive and safe near Boston...and you can't stay with my aunt--she's too old for kids! <grin>...
DollyM
I don't know their budget but here's a sample listing http://boston.craigslist.org/gbs/vac/641661235.html That's a significant living space for a family, but at the price of a single hotel room in Boston. LMA
Try sublet.com for a vacation rental. I recommend that they include outskirts of Boston, Boston area, and Bristol and Plymouth County in their search. A car is not really needed in Boston. Parking costs for tourists is very expensive. It is much easier and cheaper to take a T train or an MBTA train into Boston. If your friends look at places outside the Boston area, be sure that they ask how far the place is from the nearest train stop.
