Chelle in MO
We did this for dh's grandmother this past Christmas. All the grandkids and spouses and great-grandkids wrote things and she read one each day. It was her very favorite gift of all time!! She was always talking about what people had written - she loved it!! Unfortunately, she did not have the opportunity to read all the notes - but the night before she died - guess what she was talking about!!! Oh, how precious! I'm sorry she didn't get to read them all, but what a wonderful memory for your family!

Colleen in NS
We need to get together sometime. Seriously. :) I'm a ravelry addict as well. Maybe in the fall sometime we could meet at an HRM library. My problem is, though, that I am very limited on when I can get out during the week. But we can try! Can anyone direct me to the wtm ravelry group? I can't find it. Jeanne in MN
Things we've done/made for Christmas gifts: Fire starters-made out of dryer lint and melted wax in egg cartons Fire starting kits-fire starters, kindling, pine cones, large fireplace matches, and a container of stuff you sprinkle in the fire to make the flames colorful (just a few $$s at Menards) Homemades soaps Homemade vanilla Rice bags (to heat up for injuries, ear aches, head aches, etc.) Recipe books with restaraunt recipes taken from KopyKat recipes or family recipes Fleece blankets Clear glass ornaments with colored paints swirled around inside and dried. Homemade frozen soups, foodsCookies in a jar Felt boards and felt sets Large batches of cocoa mix in big containers Have wanted to try plastic spoons dipped in chocolate and mint crumbs for stirring in cocoa. Love making homemade things for Christmas!
