1bassoon
How would I assign this credit? My eldest dd is doing a "fifth year" senior. She doesn't really NEED a science credit to graduate (she's done biology, chemistry, and advanced biology), but she was interested in TTC's Physics in Your Life DVDs. If she just watches the DVDs and creates a notebook (it's about 18 hours of lectures), would that be a 1/2 credit "Topics in Physics"? I really don't want to add in Hewitt's book - she's working a lot, and pursuing some other things (Accounting, Senior Thesis) as well. I was intrigued by some TOPS high school physics books/labs. Wondering if it would be worth it to add in those to bump it up to a full credit? What say you?
LaurieM
I'm really no help, but I've also been considering this course for my son as an Intro to Physics. I'll be watching for suggestions. If you have already purchased the set, maybe you could supplement with a book from the recommended reading list?
