southcarolinamom
My children love their Sonlight programs, and have a terrific world view. However, on the Stanford Achievement testing, my dd scores on the low side b/c she doesn't know a lot of US Govt/social science stuff yet. She told me the other day, "Mom, I find it quite hilarious that I know the capitals of countries all over the world but I don't know a lot about our own government." :) We will be covering US History in 11th grade (Core 100) and US Govt/Economics in depth in 12th grade (Notgrass). Can you recommend an easy-to-use, short work book type item, something like Steck Vaughn's Maps, Charts, Graphs, or Evan Moore's daily geography work, that would have US govt/social science in it?
