Anyone use anything other than the black learning log for SWR?

I'm new to SWR and haven't begun yet. I was wondering if anyone uses anything else for the black learning log? I'm looking for something easy and cheap! I know the black learning logs aren't expensive but I'd rather really use something that we might have on hand. Thanks!

I bought the same type of composition notebooks at Wal-Mart, except they had more pages. I paid .40 cents or .60 cents? Something along those lines and they worked just as well.

I bought the chart masters and made copies of those. The $10 was more initally, but it will be cheaper in the long run (and easier!)

I've read that SWR doesn't recommend using the bigger composition books because they are too bulky, have you had any issues with this?
