I really like the things I am already using for the other aspects of languare arts. If i use just these two elements, will it make sense, or will we be missing too much background info? Also, should we step directly in to the poetry level recommended for his grade (5th) or should we back up a book or two? radiobrain Posted April 12, 2010 Share Posted April 12, 2010 It is possible, but doing the whole program is ideal. When you say 5th.. do you mean level 2 (town) or level 3 (voyage)? If you mean Town level, that is just fine. If you mean Voyage level, you might feel the need to back up. Or your kid will rise to the challenge! :D No matter what, picking any part of the program will be a good decision. You might find that as you are doing it, you WANT the whole shebang! toodles!
