butterfly113
I have been to CIRCE institutes website, yet did not see any samples. Does anyone know where samples of this program can be seen? And what about levels... What ages/levels are appropriate for this program?
lovemykids
They are there...something like, watch demo.. And the age varies. I plan to wait until high school, but others are using it earlier. (I want to combine so I need to wait a little longer than my first choice, which would be 8th grade or so. But I have heard of people using it with children as young as fifth grade.) happymom
View demos here: http://www.thelosttoolsofwriting.com/demo.htm See frequently asked questions her: http://www.thelosttoolsofwriting.com/faq.htm Quote from frequently asked questions about grade level: The Lost Tools of Writing™ is designed for students in grades 7-9 with a basic background in grammar. Any high school student who hasn’t already mastered these materials needs to learn them as well, though older students can move through the materials much more quickly. For this reason, we recommend that every student from grades seven through twelve should master The Lost Tools of Writing™. A few ambitious teachers have successfully used The Lost Tools with fifth graders and it has even been adapted to third grade with great success. At the other end, college students benefit significantly from the way this program focuses their attention on core writing skills. The Lost Tools of Writing™ need to be mastered by freshman year in college.
