Tanya in KS
Has anyone used this program? I am looking at it for my 7th grader who LOVES to draw but has a challenged mother who can not teach him a thing about drawing!:) I am considering ordering the DVD and the LIfepacs that Rainbow offers. Thank you for you help Tanya
Julie in GA
His drawing stuff might be good, but I have never liked his paintings, especially his use of color, so I've stayed away from anything with his name on it. Can you look at a sample? How are his people drawings?
ABQmom
We bought this at our state's convention two years ago. It looked neat at the convention, but we did NOT like it at all. The whole program bored us to death. The DVD was not very well done imo.

Thank you for you help Tanya I actually just got this at the CBD warehouse sale. I wouldn't have ever bought it for full price, though -- I'm too cheap. I've looked through it somewhat, and it seems like the first 3/4th of it or so teaches the elements of art -- lines, color, shape, etc. There are projects at the end of it, and some art history, too. I'm going to use it next year with my 4th grade who is art-phobic. But, I'm not sure I'd use it if my child wanted to study art or had some giftedness toward it. So, for us, I think it will work, seeing as I have no talent. If you want more specific information about the program, I can pull out the booklets.
