Mom23Boys
We like BJU math, but I'm wondering if CLE would be just as effective but less teacher intensive?? Can anyone compare these two for me?? I can't compare the 2, because this is my 1st year homeschooling and I use CLE for my 1st grader. I can tell you it takes me about 20 minutes to teach the lesson, do flashcards, speed drill and explain the independent work. There is virtually no preparation for me. I just grab the daily flashcards and go. Every couple of days, you have to move flashcards around, but it is no biggie. If it is a topic that he has trouble grasping, it takes a little longer of course, but not much. It is laid out very well and is easy to use. I love it, but again, have never used BJU. angela&4boys
I've used both and imho, CLE is a bit less teacher-intensive. Assuming your dc can read well and that the instruction within the text is sufficient, it is an excellent program. It has been a perfect fit for our 9yo ds.
