Gamom3 Posted December 2, 2009 Share Posted December 2, 2009 Has anyone went from Chalkdust to Saxon? I really don't think Ds is getting math this year. He is only on chapter 3 in Chalkdust. He struggles with the word problems. I have been taking it slow with him and if he fails a test then we go back and redo the lessons. I know this program moves fast, but I am wondering now if it is moving to fast. I have used Saxon in the past, but like how Chalkdust teaches. Any suggestions? MIch elle Posted December 2, 2009 Share Posted December 2, 2009 Look at Art Reed DVD's for Saxon My oldest went from CD alg. to Saxon alg. 1 for the rest of gr. 8 (50 lessons) before he attended high school for gr. 9.
