samba Posted November 25, 2009 Share Posted November 25, 2009 I have this program and have read through it and watched some of the lessons. I haven't used it with dd yet. It is great as an overview of basic math and I think it would serve just fine as a pre-algebra course for a solid student. Lesson 30 (the last lesson) is Intro to Alg 1. The lesson description says: "Since Alg. 1 is the next step for a student who has successfully completed Basic Math, this last lesson acts as an introduction to that subject." It is not a full curriculum. There simply isn't enough practice in the workbook. However, I personally don't think a pre-algebra course is necessary for all students. I hope you will receive responses from people who have actually used this. I just wanted to share my thoughts...I'm feeling chatty today :D...and avoiding Thanksgiving preparations ;).
