MCT question...verb tenses?

I just received the Island level (YEAH!) and am very excited to get started this week. After looking through it, I have a question...:confused:

 

Are verb tenses taught? If so, when? In another level?

-OR-

Is this something I just have to "throw in" while we are reading and discussion together?

I know he doesn't cover them in Island, so feel free to point these things out as the need arises.

 

I am pretty sure that it isn't covered in Town level either, but we still aren't finished.

 

I would think that with the way MCT approaches all this, from the most simple, then adding the complexity AFTER the basic concepts and ideas are fully understood... that he wouldn't bother with it on the early end. It would clutter up the main idea.

 

So, explain it when you want, but I personally trust MCT's methodology. I have found his explanations to be far superior to any of mine! He does explain about the worst thing you can ever do to sentence... what is it called? A broken sentence? Where it's amount or tenses don't agree and therefore it can't make sense... ? Ugh, I can't remember exactly, but I am pretty sure it was in Sentence Island. My kids loved that part.

I read through the Town level, it's not in there. Maybe it's in the Voyage level??
