3rd grade boy with not so neat printing...

His printing is legible, but still looks messy. He's learning cursive, which is going well. I'm not sure how to help him have neatier printing though. I've tried telling him to slow down but it doesn't help much. I've noticed some of his letters are his own way of printing:001_huh:. For ex., his letter "g". It's a little odd looking. Obviously, hard to show you on here.

I really don't want to back peddle and have him start over with practicing printing letter's. He's already doing cursive daily and it takes longer than it probably should because he doesn't like doing it!

Any suggestions? BTDT? What have/would you do??

Thank you!

P.S.--Just wanted to add that I've noticed my 1st grader's printing is also not neat, so my 1st grader WILL be starting over with printing practice, lol...

I was just thinking about this same thing...only my son is 10! :001_huh:

His cursive is BEAUTIFUL -- much neater and more pretty than both of his older sisters. However, his printing leaves a little bit to be desired.

I'll be waiting to see what is suggested...
