creekmom
I've noticed the ps focusing a lot on economics as early as 1st grade around here. I bought a couple of the Spectrum Test Prep books and they contain quite a few questions about economics also. Does anyone have a simple book or other resource to introduce economics to younger children (3rd-5th graders)? I wouldn't bother with it except that my kids will be taking the Stanford 10 this spring, and I know there will be questions about it. LunaLee
I have and like the Uncle Eric Books-Common Business Sense for Kids and Capitalism for Kids. I also recently purchased Money Matter by Prufrock Press. It's a workbook, but teaches kids about credit and how to be a smart consumer, and how advertising works. Karen in CO
The Everything Kids Money Book by Diane Mayr The Story of Money by Maestro If You Made a Million by Schwartz Are the books we have used for money and banking. It should cover elementary economics also.
