Wildwood
Has anyone used this art program? Just wondering if you liked it and would recommend it. I would be using it with a new 6 year old. Thank you!
specialmama
Yup. Totally appropriate for a 6-10 yr old. There's lots of variety; you can jump from painting to drawing to markers to painting, etc., although the topics are separate so you just flip through wherever you want to be. It's worth it to get the paintcards/markercards IMO. :001_smile:

Woodland_Mom
I'm using it right now with my 7 yr. old and 9 yr. old. We like it a lot! It is very easy to use and many concepts are taught.

campmom
Yes, I'm using it with a 4 yr and 6 yr old. We also have the instructional DVD. It is painless.
Wildwood
Great! I have gone crazy and ordered it! My dd is totally into art... any shape, form, or fashion so, I imagine it will be a hit here. Thanks so much for you replies!:)
mrsmicah
I just started it with my almost 6 and 7.5 year old. My 7.5 year old LOVES it, my 6 year old is kinda bored with it. Well, we are still in the beginning of the book, the Practice Exercises. But I am still newish to homeschooling, and I feel like I HAVE to start at the beginning of a book and work our way through! Perhaps I should mix it up! They are itching to get to the paint and marker cards! They ask EVERYDAY! Hmmm... maybe I will surpise them Friday when we are done with school!:)
Dinsfamily
Are the DVDs necessary for a non-artsy mom (I love to draw, but will be learning right along with them) or just a nice to have?
iquilt
We are using this program this year with our 8yo and almost 6yo; they are both enjoying the drawing lessons and go at their own pace. After we move into our house (we are currently in a teeny apartment without most of our stuff) we will start some of the other lessons.HTH
