MariannNOVA
I really did think that dh's and my family were the exception but they certainly do not seem to be -- interesting, though, my FIL is a retired Pastor - he led a Church for approx. 40 years so MIL had plenty of experience being a pastor's wife AND her dad was a pastor so she observed plenty. I've observed that she is there for 'relative strangers', and for people who treat her poorly, but she is not there for us. My FIL would be, but she is the one who ultimnately makes the decision as to whether or not they will come here and help out and the decision is invariably that they will not. This thread, however, has been an eye-opener for me.
phathui5
Lately, with us moving and getting our house ready to sell, it has been apparent who my amazing people are. I'm so sad that I'm moving away from them and will have to get new ones. They're my: - neighbors - people from homeschool group - peeps from church And they're awesome!
