K-FL
My b'day is Sat. & I need a new camera so I've been looking. Two that I can find locally are: Vivitar DVR 840xhd Sony MHS-CM1 They're about the same price ($180-200) & I'm thinking one of these over just a still camera (point-n-shoot.) Is that rational thinking? FYI: The Sony has a bit better rating on Amazon. What do you think? :bigear:
ChristusG
I keep my camcorder and camera as seperate things. A camcorder that has a built in still camera can not take as nice of photos as a stand alone camera. I'm a photographer so I only want the best quality for my photos. K-FL
I understand your position, but since I'm just looking at point & shoots along w/under $200 I'm in a different ball game.
AnnetteB
My daughter and her husband recently purchased an Olympus Stylus 6000. The camera is waterproof and they are able to take the prettiest photos and underwater videos of their little ones swimming. They had been dropping their old digital camera into a Ziploc and capturing what they could. The camera seems to take really nice photos for the price. My own digital is a six year old Nikon and it clickety-clacks and ruins the audible portion of videos. I'll be shopping for a new camera myself soon :bigear:
