imeverywoman
I'm looking over a few of them to purchase for this term's literature suggestions. If you have used them in the past, have you found them to be worth the time and effort? Thanks, :)
Julie in MN
Since you haven't had any answers, I'll chime in. I've only used them with a 7th grader. Our experience last year was that the quality varies. Different guides have different authors. The basic structure is the same, but the amount of minutia covered varies. The quality of prep & follow-up activities varies. We liked the first guide we did and didn't like the 2nd. I'd try to get direct experiences with a guide first, if possible -- either looking closely at the samples or hopefully talking with someone who's used that exact one. imeverywoman
I've gone ahead and purchased one. I did notice that there was a pretty big "jump" in levels, even between the upper elementary and the middle school, but we'll go ahead and give it a whirl. Thanks for your response! Kindly, :)
