LNC
I wanted to post my quarter plans for those planning a full year over the summer. I'm really excited about this! Google docs took away all the lines for my columns and rows and added bolding in areas, but you get the idea! I downloaded a Word doc (5x6) from the Donna Young site, and moved things around and added lines until I was done. It didn't really take that long - I heavily used cut and paste to go faster! http://donnayoung.org/forms/planners/grids.htm Quarter plans (I also made them for my 5th grade daughter): http://docs.google.com/View?id=dcf69chs_6hndz8ncd http://docs.google.com/View?id=dcf69chs_7g425r8fj http://docs.google.com/View?id=dcf69chs_8fc25fbft http://docs.google.com/View?id=dcf69chs_9hh4mnphb History quarter plans: http://docs.google.com/View?id=dcf69chs_10gx65jmc9 http://docs.google.com/View?id=dcf69chs_11fjwwrcgp http://docs.google.com/Doc?docid=0AWB50tvvWfevZGNmNjljaHNfMTJnOGIzNTNkMw&hl=en http://docs.google.com/View?id=dcf69chs_13f8tht4fc HTH anyone! This looks great! Are you using Truthquest for history? I wanted to try this, but could not figure out how to schedule it? Any suggestions? We've used Sonlight for the last 4 years, so I'm spoiled having everything already scheduled. But, there are so many books that we do not like, that they schedule.:bigear:

But, there are so many books that we do not like, that they schedule.:bigear: For Truthquest, I just went through my (AHYS 2) and marked everything I wanted to buy either used, Amazon or Rainbow. And I marked what my library had. I then seperated the guide into 4 quarters - then 9 weeks per quarter of spine readings. SOTW is one of our spines. (We catch up on additional SOTW world history chapters over the summer.) I read aloud all of the spines and a different chapter book each day. We do history an hour/ day bc we all love it! We also have one hour of silent history reading after lunch. Their bedtime reading is free reading, but they often choose history anyway. Most of the many books I have listed are really quick reads or picture books. We LOVE Truthquest. I can't believe how much we all learn and we'll never use any other history curriculum!
