LadyAberlin
Has anyone every had a sunburn that kind of turns a purple color? I got burned on my legs and it was excruciatingly painful for a couple of days and I put an aloe vera gel that had lidocaine in it on it. It is feeling much better today, but it is kind of a purple color and I was wondering if that is okay or if I should go see a dermatologist. Anyone ever had this? lionfamily1999
My brother had a purple burn when we were kids. It was sun poisoning. I would go to a doctor (doctor doctor, not dermo doctor, iykwIm).
Sunflower
My mom always used apple cider vinegar but the purple color remained for quite a while as I recall. I read that cool green tea compresses were helpful for sunburns. Don't remember where I read or saw that. Possibly here? I used it on my daughter's shoulders last month and it really helped. She was not quite to the purple stage though. Hope you feel (and look not so purple) soon!
LadyAberlin
It's only on my legs thankfully. I wore a sun hat and that protected my face.
