gratefulmother
This is driving my husband and I crazy. We are trying to solve: x + .28X = 100,000 We cannot for the life of us remember how to solve a problem like this. Is there an algebra website that would give us a refresher course? Thanks! LoriM
Probably all you need to remember is that X is the same thing as 1X, so the left side of your equation is (1.28)X = 1X + 0.28X So, divide 100,000 by 1.28 and you get what X equals...78,125 Hope that helps! Perry
This is driving my husband and I crazy. We are trying to solve: x + .28X = 100,000 We cannot for the life of us remember how to solve a problem like this. Is there an algebra website that would give us a refresher course? Thanks! That first x means 1x. So 1x +.28x= 1.28x 1.28x=100,000 Divide each side by 1.28 x=100000/1.28 x=78,
