Quiver0f10
Crosspost-I am wondering how self-teaching the LOF books are? Are your students able to do the algebra and additional books independently? Thanks!
Miss Marple
My 7th grader has used LOF Beginning and Advanced Algebra independently - but he will sometimes ask me to explain something further. However, my older son did not do well with LOF Geometry. I think he just doesn't think the way Fred thinks. I had to spend quite a bit of time re-explaining concepts to him so we switched him to Jacobs geometry which seems to have been a better fit. The ability to use it independently will probably depend more on the student than on the program. Both of these boys are excellent math students (probably their best subject), but they do think differently. Quiver0f10
Thank you. I will have to look at the samples and see if it would work for this child.
