Guest bookwormmama
I am going to a convention in June in Washington and Peace Hill Press will be there. I would like to buy FLL 3 and WWE 1 and 2. Does PHP do discounts or no sales tax or something if you buy at the convention. I know it will save me on shipping since it won't have to be shipped to me... but I am just wondering if I will save anymore money by waiting a few more weeks. Thanks so much! Tess in the Burbs
Last year at NOVA I know someone who got a discount on the newest WWE stuff....and she asked if I could have the discount too and the gal agreed ;-) I didn't buy though, lol. The items were new though, so hard to say if we just charmed the gal or if they were hoping to get a lot sold at convention. It never hurts to ask! skaterbabs
Yes, they do offer small convention discounts. The biggest thing to me, though, is not paying shipping. Combined with the discount it's worthwhile.
Colleen in SEVA
I believe they do give a small discount (it was 15% at the WTM conference), but the price is still higher than Amazon. However -- though I do buy most books through Amazon, I try to buy PHP items direct from them so that they make more of the profit. This (FREE!!) site has been invaluable to me over the last few years, and if paying a few dollars more helps them out, I don't mind! Plus they are a small, local, family-involved publisher, they publish wonderful things, and they always take time at conventions to answer my long list of questions. I appreciate that.
