MomOfOneFunOne
While browsing this site: www.patternreview.com I ran across this review of a bra sewing workshop at a sewing shop in Wichita, Ks. http://sewing.patternreview.com/cgi-bin/readreview.pl?readreview=1&reviewnum=31505 Weeeeeeell, I looked her up http://ndlnookfab.blogspot.com/ and saw that she was offering a workshop soon. I called her to see if both my daughter and I could be accomodated and . . . voila! It's tomorrow and we are sooo excited. We leave at 6 tomorrow morning (it's a 2.5 hour drive), have class from 9 - 12.30, check in at the hotel and swim all afternoon, back in class 9 - 12.30, back on the road home (and back in time for a birthday party at 3.30)! Ooh, La, La! Geography, Home Ec, P.E. . . what else? Any Wichita, KS homeschoolers . . . she was very complimentary! She said that there is a thriving HS community there and that she teaches homeschool classes all the time. She said you're a great bunch of ppl! Faithseed
In my book, sewing counts as math as well! :D Write a little report on your wonderful day, and you just covered grammer. It just doesn't get any better, eh? Congratulations! I hope you both have a wonderful time!!
LaxMom
Yep, math, fiber arts, reading, history (if you look into the history of garments - fascinating, really)... oh, the list could go on and on! Have fun! I am SEW envious! :D
asta
What a gift to your daughter! A lifetime of always having a bra that fits. I can't even imagine that... asta
